Have you wondered what all the hype is about All You magazine. It has some great coupons, tips and recipes. I have been getting it for almost a year now.
Well, right now you can get a free digital copy and a coupon. Mind you the digital version doesn’t have useable coupons but you can see all the goodness that it is;). This months does have some great cupcake ideas!
Free Comic Book Day is tomorrow (May 5th)!!!
But what is Free Comic Book Day, you might ask. It is a day where you and your kids head down to your local comic book store and get a free comic book! Once you find the participating stores in your area it really is that simple. Free Comic Book Day is not just designed to get kids into comic books but to overall encourage reading in children.
We always hit Heroes here in Fresno. And while there is a line it moves super quick. And as you see, they bring out the characters;). The kids love that! They interact with the Star Wars guys every year.
The list of the “available” comics is posted ahead of time. I use quotes because sometimes they are out of one by the time you get there or didn’t get one of them. So I recommend you peruse the list and come up with a top 3 for every person. And person gets a comic, including the adults. They had some preview and special edition copies of some comics we were interested in last year.
We always have a ball and highly recommend you go! Let me know what decide you want to get!
My friend Jaime recommended that I check out a book called Bicoastal Babe by Cynthia Langston for an easy and fun read. I hadn’t gotten a chance to pick it up yet when I found out….

Sounds cute! I personally can relate to feeling like I can figure out what is cool for the rest of the world but not myself;). Apparently Katherine Heigl loves it. So much she is developing/producing a show for the CW called Trending that is based on the book.

Passover is the celebration of God taking the Jews out of Egypt! The final plague was the Angel of Death taking the lives of the first borns in Egyptian households. Jewish homes that had the lamb’s blood on the door frame was passed over untouched. Get it? Passed over, Passover;)!

Aish.com has great resources for all Jewish holidays, not just Passover! I always find great recipes, poignant pieces, and videos over there. A key post of theirs on Passover isHaggadah: An Introduction.
Another resource isn’t really information but food! I am now gluten free so Yehuda’s Gluten Free Matzo page is pretty awesome. You can see all the gluten free Passover options and order from them if you want to (but I have seen the boxes of matzo at Whole Foods). But when it comes to the actual Seder dinner the Chabad has a piece on what kind of matzo is really acceptable (it seems complicated).
Do you have a Haggadah? Looking for one you would like more? Uncle Eli has a kids version. I wouldn’t use it alone but it is entertaining and would print it for the kids to have at their seats. Looking for something a little more mature;)? Check out About.com’s Judaism page. They have a ton of options and a summary about each one.
